Today was the Rotterdam Classic, a race which suited team captain Avery Nijholt's abilities perfectly, however with no real leadouts Emerge were aiming for a top 6 or 7. This was not to be however, as Nijholt put on a top quality display to take the plaudits. This is his first ever race win, and couldnt have come at a better time, and in a much more prestigious race. This is the start of things to come.
The management commented that they kept the birthday parties to a minimum the last couple of days (Nijholt and Saaberg), but the team would be allowed to celebrate hard tonight. Their brilliant work has finally paid off, no doubt I will be having a few aswell :)
It is also no surprise that Emerge are keeping there feet on the ground with team manager Blue Bolt saying "Today is a great day for our team and our sponsor Modified Elite, it i no more than deseved for Nijholt, who has been superb in his training despite not getting results. This is the start, and we hope to turn out some superb leadouts to help him in the coming season".
Race Report:
Avery Nijholt's first victory: Rotterdam Classic
Avery Nijholt insured a proud victory for Emerge in Rotterdam Classic. Only a few inches ahead of the other sprinters, Avery Nijholt showed prosmising sprinting abilities. Right behind him, the two rivals, Alexander Ballette (CARCYCL) and Balthazar Kint (Stroopwafel), became second and third respectively.
Emerge's Avery Nijholt didn't hide his joy when winning the Rotterdam Classic. It's incredible. I didn't expect this at all. I just wanted to try, I aimed for being 5th or 6th, but suddenly I was in the lead! said the happy winner.
It's good to see Avery Nijholt fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of Emerge, Blue Bolt, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Avery Nijholt) today, and he clearly proved his worth in sprint.

Hav just started training Hills, however going to put it on hold briefly while training Eager upto 54 in SP and TQ so he can be a better leadout, therefore help get better results, and more money to train with. Chose Eager as he has gd potentials in SP and HL, so will be training him up after Nijholt.
Wow. A division 3 classic already? Great start for Nijholt. He maxed yet or are you training hills at the moment?
